Shop Small with us on Small Business Saturday

Nov 22, 2013

Small Business Saturday is November 30 this year, and we’re getting super excited to celebrate with all our customers making the decision to shop small.

What is Small Business Saturday all about?

Small Business Saturday was first observed on November 27, 2010 and was created to encourage holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local. Check out the video below for a more detailed look.

Why is it important to Shop Small?

There are plenty of reasons to shop small – below are some of our favorites:

1.  When you shop small and local more than 50% of the money you spend stays in the community
2.  71% of small business owners give to local charities that improve their neighborhoods.
3.  Because of small businesses, 65% more jobs have been created over the past 17 years.

You can see more reasons why Small Business Saturday is important here and here.
