Homeless Man Returns Woman’s Engagement Ring

Mar 1, 2013

Who would have thought that an individual so desperate for money would have returned such a valuable item? Well this man did! A heart warming story released on USA Today claims how a homeless man, Billy Ray Harris, returned an engagement ring that was accidentally given to him by a woman walking along the street. Earlier that day, Sarah Darling forgot she had taken off her engagement ring and placed it in her coin purse. She accidentally dropped her engagement ring in Billy Rays cup along with her coins. Darling was mortified the next day when she realized what she had done. When she went back to him, he willingly returned the engagement ring, no questions asked. Sarah Darling and her husband were so thankful they started a fund for Harris on his behalf. The fund has already raised over $145,000 for Harris. To read more, visit www.USAtoday.com.
