In honor of #throwbackthursday we’re taking it way back with our customers Susan and Christopher, who got engaged back in October of 2006. Check out their adorable proposal story.

Susan & Chris
In early October of 2006, Chris decided to take Susan to The Artist’s Inn, a beautiful bed-and-breakfast in Lancaster, PA. Little did she know that this is where he planned to pop the question. During dinner Susan could tell that Chris seemed a bit nervous, but she didn’t think much of it. When the couple got back to their room, Chris went out on the balcony to look at the stars. He kept asking Susan to come join him, but it was really cold, and she was already getting ready for bed. Chris was persistent on Susan to coming outside, and of course, Susan kept resisting until finally he said, “WOULD YOU PLEASE JUST PUT YOUR COAT ON AND COME OUT HERE?!?” Slightly annoyed, Susan joined him.

The balcony where Chris proposed to Susan
There was a full moon and a horse and buggy going down the street, which was very sweet. Chris asked Susan if she remembered what he had told her about the next full moon, but she honestly didn’t. (Apparently, he had told her he would propose on the next full moon, but she thought he was just kidding and put it out of her mind.) So Chris got down on one knee, pulled out a beautiful ring from Samuelson’s, and proposed. She was so stunned that she didn’t remember to answer him for a moment; she just stood there with her mouth open. He looked at her sheepishly and said, “Ummm…is that a yes?” Of course, it was.
The couple has been happily married for 6 years now and we’re very excited we got to be a little part of their successful marriage.
