Accesorize on your wedding day with bridal jewelry

If you enjoyed picking out your wedding dress, then there‘s more fun in store for you – bridal jewelry! Your engagement ring and your wedding band aren’t the only pieces of jewelry you can use to accessorize on your big day. Accenting your fabulous gown with a pair of earrings, necklace, or bracelet can be a great touch, but it’s important to remember the first rule in wedding jewelry: Don’t overdo it.

When selecting your bridal jewelry, it’s important to keep the style of your wedding dress in mind. Pairing your neckline style with the proper adornment can add character to your wedding gown, or even highlight a unique feature. Check out some of our recommended jewelry and gown combinations.

Sweetheart Neckline or Strapless Neckline
This neckline shows off your clavicle and shoulders so accent these areas with jewelry that hits right at your collarbone.  Consider skipping the necklace and replace with chandelier earrings with a gemstone in them, like your birthstone, or a color from your bouquet.

If you go with a necklace consider something that mirrors the curves on a sweetheart bodice, like a bold multi-strand necklace, or classic pearls.  When wearing a necklace with this type of dress, remember “less is more” for the earrings and choose something like diamond studs or pearls.

V Neckline
This flattering cut draws attention toward your face and neck. Long earrings and delicate pendant necklaces really complement this design.

One Shoulder Neckline
The diagonal sweep of this shape is a statement all its own , and requires little embellishment. Forgo a necklace and try a pair of sparkly earrings and to balance the look, wear a bracelet on the arm that’s bare.

Halter or Reverse Halter
Whether you wear your hair in a bun or loose ponytail, dressing up your tresses is a great way to accessorize a halter gown. Headbands are a great option to spice up your wedding do, but if headbands aren’t quite your style, try adding some sparkle to your hair with crystal hairpins.
